I’m Portuguese, I grew up in a small rural village and I’ve loved drawing or painting for as long as I can remember. I ended up doing a master’s degree in civil engineering because when I was a teenager I thought that as an adult it would be difficult to have a stable financial life in the field of art.

But I wasn’t happy as an engineer and so I picked up a pencil again as a hobby and instantly knew that it was art that I wanted to do for the rest of my life and that will do it, no matter what. When I started tattooing I fell so in love with it. Because tattooing ends up being a drawing on the client’s skin but with much more meaning and impact than a “picture to hang in the living room”, because there is no more important “canvas” to put a drawing on than on our own skin, for life.

I love tattooing realism and microrealism with geometric elements, graphics and lines. I find it an extremely elegant and fascinating style.
