TATTOO AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS
SECOND SKIN
After 8-24 hours, depending on the amount of blood & plasma build up (if there is no visible build up, it is not necessary or recommended to change the bandage), remove the first second skin bandage that was applied by the artist. For best results slowly remove in the shower/underwater. Next, gently clean the area with a mild unscented soap and use paper towel to pat dry.
Once the tattoo and surrounding area are clean and completely dry, carefully remove the white backing paper on the new piece of second skin. Ensure the area is in a natural and relaxed position then apply. Once the new second skin bandage is applied and smoothed over, remove the patterned/shiny hard top.
Second skin bandages can be worn for up to 5 days. Afterwards, continue your healing with Royal Tattoo approved Ohana aftercare cream and follow instructions until your tattoo is 100% healed (approx. 3 weeks). Apply Ohana as needed (dry or itchy) 1-2 times daily with clean hands. A tattoo is an open wound, keeping it clean and safe from bacteria is crucial.
DO NOT:
● Do not itch, pick at, or tear off scabs.
● Do not over hydrate tattoo with aftercare cream or unscented lotions.
● Do not apply scented lotions or medicated ointments such as polysporin during healing.
● Do not use a bath towel to dry tattoo after cleaning (bacteria).
● Do not swim, hot tub or soak for a minimum of three weeks.
● Do not exercise causing sweat build up while using the second skin bandage.
● Do not apply any additional bandaging after the second skin process has been completed.
● Do not tan or expose tattoo to direct sunlight until fully healed.
● Do not wear tight clothing that may irritate the tattoo during healing. We strongly recommend applying sunblock to HEALED tattoos to prevent fading.
TRADITIONAL
Leave the traditional bandage applied on for 3-5 hours or as otherwise recommended by the artist. Immediately after removing the bandage, gently clean the area with a mild unscented soap and use paper towel to pat dry. A tattoo is an open wound, keeping it clean and safe from bacteria is crucial.

PIERCING AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS
Wash your hands thoroughly before cleaning or touching your piercing. A piercing is an open wound, keeping it clean and safe from bacteria is crucial.
Spray piercing with H2Ocean piercing aftercare twice a day and gently remove build up with a Q-tip. Once clean, dry the area well with sterile non-woven gauze or using the cold setting on a hairdryer (moisture can lead to bacteria).
Check jewelry for tightness twice per day. Avoid touching your piercing unnecessarily.
DO NOT:
● Do not over clean the piercing.
● Do not remove jewelry until the piercing has healed as it will begin to close immediately (can take several months depending on the piercing).
● Do not use chemicals such as alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, Neosporin, Bactine or soap to clean the piercing as these products could cause irritation.
● Do not swim, hot tub or soak.
● Do not put makeup, moisturizers or perfumes directly on the piercing.
● Do not turn or rotate the piercing during the healing process.
● Do not pull or pick at dried matter as it is attached to the healing tissue.
● In the shower, try to keep soaps or shampoos away from the area and rinse thoroughly after.
● Do not aggravate the piercing. Be cautious while washing and styling your hair, putting on or removing clothing, and refrain from sleeping on the piercing.
